COD of Palapa Ring by the President of the Republic of Indonesia in Sorong

Presiden Jokowi inaugurated the operation of the Palapa Ring network. he inauguration was held via video conference with a number of different regions, namely Sabang, Penajam Paser, Rote Ndao, Sorong to Merauke, where the President himself presided over the inauguration ceremony at the State Palace.

Palapa Ring is a backbone network development project that connects all regions of Indonesia, especially the 3T area (tertinggal, terdepan, terluar) in Indonesia. The Palapa Ring consists of three packages, namely the West Palapa Ring Package, the Central Palapa Ring Package, and the East Palapa Ring Package

A number of high state officials also attended the inauguration. They included DPR Chair Puan Maharani, DPD Chair La Nyala Mataliti, BPK Chair Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, the Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara, Head of Bappenas Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of Health Nila Moeloek, Commander of the TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian, Head of BIN Budi Gunawan, and others.

In this Palapa Ring Project, our partner, Cory Margaretta Nadapdap is involved as legal expert in the Project Management Unit as the consultant of BAKTI as the recipient of the delegation of authority from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, who monitoring the development process and the commercial operational stages of the Palapa Ring Project for all three packages. In this inauguration, our Partner is also involved and attend the ceremony at Sorong, Papua.
